Varsity Quiz is a partnership between the Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas, Clark County School District (CCSD), and Vegas PBS. The 2022-23 school year was the 54th season of the program. Presented over twelve weeks, this fast-paced series is an academic quiz show for Las Vegas high schools featuring the best and brightest students from across the city. The competing high school teams field questions based on their knowledge of subjects such as history, literature, math and science. The Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas started this program in 1969. During the regular season, 27 high school teams competed in five divisions. Scholarship awards are made to the top two teams and the Howard Naylor Outstanding Player. This award, which is named after a long time Kiwanian and Varsity Quiz volunteer, is to recognize the student who best exemplifies academic achievement, leadership and sportsmanship. Please support our young scholars in their pursuit of excellence!
